Long before Saras became a brand, it was an idea carried around by its founder — a college-going girl who loved bags and shoes a little too much. She searched everywhere, but never found what she wanted: the right compartments, the right colours, the right feel, or a design that truly felt hers. Customisation was rare. Denim bags were almost unheard of. And handmade? Even rarer.

So instead of settling, she started creating.

Saras is a homegrown, cruelty-free brand that designs and handcrafts bags and accessories with intention, individuality, and soul. Every piece is thoughtfully made using faux leather, cottons, canvas, jute, upcycled denims, and fabrics that tell a story. An MBA by education and a creative by instinct, she finds inspiration everywhere — in local markets while travelling, in ancient art forms, in long conversations with artisans, in movies that linger long after the screen fades, and even in quiet moments spent reading or cooking or making new friends. For her, creativity is not confined to studios; it lives in everyday experiences.

Her travels across cultures and regions have sparked a growing mission — to explore traditional and lesser-known art forms and thoughtfully translate them into functional, contemporary bags. Saras is her canvas, where art is not just admired but carried.

With a sharp eye for detail and a practical understanding of design and functionality, she bridges creativity with purpose.
